Advisory That Puts Your Requirements at the Centre
quorrica was built around a straightforward idea: organisations making significant AI hardware decisions deserve independent, structured input — not sales-influenced advice.
Founded on a Gap in the Advisory Market
quorrica came out of a series of conversations with procurement managers in Kuala Lumpur who kept describing the same problem: when their organisations needed to evaluate AI hardware options, the most detailed information available came directly from the vendors trying to win the contract. Independent, structured input was difficult to find.
The practice was established to address that specific gap. We work with procurement leads, IT directors, and engineering teams to build evaluation frameworks, model scenarios, and produce decision documentation — without having any commercial interest in which hardware they ultimately select.
Based at Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur, we work primarily with Malaysian organisations, though the methodology we use translates across the region. Our engagements range from a single facilitated workshop through to a quarterly advisory retainer for programmes with ongoing procurement decisions.
Mission
To help Malaysian organisations approach AI hardware procurement with documented, defensible evaluation processes — independent of supplier positioning.
Vision
A procurement landscape where organisations have the tools and frameworks to make AI infrastructure decisions calmly and methodically — rather than under pressure from vendor timelines.
Values
Neutrality, transparency, and practical usefulness. We produce work that is readable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and that stands up to internal scrutiny.
The Advisory Team
A small, focused team with backgrounds in procurement strategy, technology assessment, and B2B advisory.
Rajan Haridas
Principal Advisor
Spent over a decade in B2B technology procurement across the Malaysian public and private sectors before founding quorrica. Focuses on framework design and facilitation.
Siti Liyana
Strategy Analyst
Brings a background in technology assessment and scenario modelling for enterprise IT decisions. Works primarily on the Scenario Planning Engagement deliverables.
David Chong
Client Engagement Lead
Coordinates client relationships and engagement delivery. Background in professional services project management with a focus on structured advisory outputs.
Our Standards and Protocols
The work quorrica produces is held to clear professional standards — both in terms of methodology and how we handle client information.
No Vendor Affiliations
quorrica does not accept referral fees, commissions, or any form of commercial consideration from hardware vendors. This is a structural part of how we maintain independence.
Client Confidentiality
Procurement context and organisational information shared with us is treated as confidential. We do not reference client identities or specifics in our external communications without explicit consent.
Documented Deliverables
Every engagement produces a written output — not just a verbal debrief. Documents are structured to be internally presentable without additional formatting work from your team.
Evidence-Based Analysis
Our scenario reports and frameworks are grounded in the information your organisation provides, supplemented by publicly available market data. We make clear what is known and what is assumed.
Facilitation Standards
Workshop sessions are structured to include voices from both technical and procurement stakeholders. We design the agenda to produce usable outputs, not just discussion.
Methodology Review
We review and update our advisory frameworks periodically to reflect changes in the AI hardware market and procurement best practice. Retainer clients benefit from this on an ongoing basis.
Procurement Advisory in a Rapidly Changing Hardware Landscape
The AI hardware market in Malaysia has expanded considerably over the past few years. Organisations across sectors — from financial services and manufacturing to education and government-linked entities — are now making procurement decisions about GPU-based compute, edge inference hardware, and associated infrastructure at a scale that was not common a few years ago.
These decisions are often complex. Vendor catalogues change quickly. Performance benchmarks require interpretation. Procurement timelines intersect with budget cycles and internal sign-off processes that have their own constraints. In this environment, having an external party whose role is to help you build a clear, documented decision framework — rather than advocate for a specific product — has practical value.
quorrica's advisory approach is built around three principles: that the evaluation criteria should come from your organisation's requirements; that scenarios should be mapped before any selection decision is made; and that the rationale for decisions should be captured in a form that holds up to review. Whether you engage us for a single workshop or a longer retainer, those principles shape how we work.
We are based in Kuala Lumpur and work primarily with organisations operating in Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region. Our familiarity with Malaysian procurement governance — including the documentation and approval processes common in both private and public sector contexts — means our outputs are designed to be practically useful within those structures, not just theoretically sound.
